In September 2022 we came to view a house in Alhama De Granada with Exclusively Andalusia (working in partnership with Girasol Homes). Terry showed us around the property at a leisurely pace and answering any questions that we had about the house and also the location.We fell in love with the house and the area. We submitted an offer which was accepted. Terry and Lisa Mottershead helped us with all the paperwork and other items that we needed i.e. lawyer/wifi/electric supply and opening a bank account and also local vet.  Upon completion we required some renovations to be done (conversion of stable and workshop). They recommended Juan José Vargas who has been exceptional. Keeping us updated with photos and quotations at every stage. This made the whole process run smoothly. We also required the house to be deep cleaned. Once again Terry and Lisa recommended Raquel who was very thorough and did an excellent job. Raquel was also invaluable in helping to collect some electrical goods as our spoken Spanish is very limited. Terry and Lisa also offer a key holding service, which is perfect as we will not be living full time in Spain for a couple of years. We cannot thank Terry & Lisa enough for their exceptional service. My Wife and I recently followed a dream we have had for many years and bought a house in the south of Spain. We were both anxious and excited as we set off on our viewing trip. Terry and Lisa changed their plans and went the extra few miles (literally and metaphorically) to make sure we were able to view two properties in Velez de Benaudalla at very short notice. We loved one of the houses viewed and, with intrepidation, put in an offer which was accepted. We picked the keys up in February; we are extremely grateful for Terry and Lisa for making what could have been a very stressful and fraught minefield of a process very easy and relaxed. We immediately felt we could trust their advice and experience and throughout the process they went way above and beyond to make sure we fully understood the end to end process and that everything went smoothly throughout. They also helped us contact the electricity providers after we had collected the keys to arrange a maintenance visit, something they didn't have to do. We were first made aware of Terry and Lisa Mottershead in the summer of 2020 when we were looking at extending our current property, with the property next door for sale. Although through the Covid-19 Lockdown period Terry was extremely helpful. Offering for us to view the property remotely, acting for us in negotiations and translation. After successfully purchasing this property we have gone on to use them to sell two properties own by a family member. Terry takes the most spectacular photographs. And Lisa acts as translator, and in the legal process. Both are highly motivated, professional and enthusiastic. Both speak fluent Spanish. There business has been extended to include an all round start to finish service. We use the cleaning service on offer and have been extremely satisfied. We would like to say that Terry and Lisa are now friends and we wish them every success in the future.

I bought a house in Alhama de Granada in February 2022 from a wonderful professional couple that run an estate agents here in Alhama and they have lived here also for nearly 20 years. I first came in September 2021 and had appointments with 4 different estate agents , met 3 ! But Lisa and Terry were the first I met and I instantly knew they were good people and just went out of their way to help AND showed me the area . They are English with fluent Spanish so made it so much easier for me navigating the initial “stuff”. I paid for the house last February 2022 after they had sent me the link to the house previously while I was back in Dublin , they thought it would suit my needs and my mothers who has mobility issues. They couldn’t have handpicked a better house. To make a long story …longer. We moved here 6 months ago and to this day Lisa and Terry still assist and help me with anything I need professionally and personally. You couldn’t ask for better agency with the personal touch . When my wife and I decided to look for a home in Andalusia, Exclusively Andalusia were recommended to us by a friend. Lisa immediately started to understand what we were looking for and provide recommendations. Not only did they suggest homes they had listed but were happy to suggest alternatives with other Estate Agents. We chose a short list of 15 properties to view across the region and once in Spain were placed into the very capable hands of Terry. He drove us all around Andalusia and joined in the viewings, this enabled him to understand what we really wanted rather than what we thought we needed! Their in-depth knowledge of the area and the processes involved in buying a home in Spain made the experience so much easier.  In the end we found a wonderful home in Los Romanes and we would not have found it without their help. We purchased a house in Velez de Benaudalla in February 2019, via Lisa and Terry from Girasol Homes/Exclusively Andalusia On our return home, we were utterly amazed at all that we had managed to achieve in four days. Lisa’s direction, assistance and advice that was given to us before travelling to Spain was incredible and made our visit so much easier. Once in Spain, Terry’s dedication, unwavering patience and many wise words whilst showing us around the various properties, culminated in us buying our house. For us however, choosing the house was the easy part. After having decided on the property, the guidance, support and assistance that Lisa and Terry gave us, including all of their connections, legal and financial contacts and so much more, made the “finalizing of the deal”, seem an incredibly simple process. Dear Nigel, I guess by now you will know that the sale of our properties in Montefrio (Villa Louisa & Cortijo Sophia) has been successfully completed. Completion took place at Montefrio last Thursday and all went smoothly and seamlessly. We are so pleased because, for us, it means that we can at last, move on with our lives here in the UK. My wife, Katrina and I just wanted to say that the entire experience, whilst not without a couple of hiccups, was handled with absolute professionalism throughout the whole process by Terry and Lisa. When the hiccups occurred, Lisa jumped into action to resolve them with lightning precision. (Remind me to always keep on her good side) I believe we started to advertise with you around February this year and by May, Terry and Lisa had found a buyer for us. From then on, their expert advise and help was invaluable. Trying to ensure a smooth transition between buyer and seller must sometimes be quite a juggling act but we felt very safe in their hands from start to finish. Dear Lisa and Terry, I am writing to thank you, albeit a little late, for your most wonderful service with selling my villa in Granada, Cullar Vega. Your very friendly help cannot be matched, being all alone you were extremely helpful and comforting to me in many ways, especially with the problem I had with the measurements of my plot and house. When I was first made aware of this my immediate reaction was that this will mess things up and I would lose my buyer but you made light work of it all and took all the necessary steps for it to be resolved as quickly as possible, including all the running around with the paperwork, all I had to do was to sign the new declaration and you saw to it that it was presented to the Land Registry and liaised with my solicitor. Even on the day of completion you came and picked me up and we had a nice talk in the bar before and after the notarios procedures took place. I would most certainly recommend you to anyone I know who wants to sell their property in Spain, in fact I already have to one of my neighbours. My story was quite unique in terms of the circumstances that brought me to the decision of buying abroad. After losing my Mother I was left a sum of money to invest in a property.  The sum was not of a huge amount and therefore I knew that I was not going to tie myself up with another mortgage at my age. I had always dreamed of purchasing a property in Spain or France but made the decision to invest in Spain. My search began one evening over a weekend in 2019 and I had emailed to say that I was interested in a certain property. I wasn’t expecting an email back so soon but there it was from Lisa at Girasol homes/Exclusively Andalusia.  Lisa must have thought I was mad as I didn’t go and view the property.  I think, to be honest, I was grieving and had so much going on that I just wanted it done. Any good estate agents are going to want you to view before purchasing and believe me Lisa did try but I was adamant I just wanted to buy and be done.   I find myself very fortunate, not only to have found a lovely place in Spain in a remote tranquil lovely village, but also the support and advice that followed in the following months from Lisa. Lisa put me in touch with a Bank Manager in the village so as to open an account.  She translated between myself and the Bank, so all the stress was taken out of this. I was sent regular updates, even when Lisa was supposed to be on her vacation. Anything I wanted to know, Lisa was there every step of the way. The day the sellers had to go to the Notary Lisa took them and throughout I was given up to date information as to what was going on. The day I went to Spain to get into my home, Lisa arranged to hand me the keys and again liaised with the Manager of the Bank for me to go and sign my documents. That wasn’t all!  Lisa also recommended places that may be of interest and where to go . To be honest it seemed that it was a friend who was just helping me out and not an agent.  Her vast knowledge of the surrounding area and who to liaise with was of enormous help and for this I will always be extremely grateful.
